Staff in KUMU Kanazawa by THE SHARE HOTELS
We stayed in the bunk room with 3 people and there was ample room to open all our suitcases! Nice surprise to have slightly more floor space in a Japanese hotel room. Beds were comfy and loved the toilet with an auto opening lid every time you walk into the toilet room. Live music at night and space to have dessert and drinks downstairs. The rooftop was also a great place to hangout. There are even shared spaces on some floors where you can enjoy tea together. Loved the design elements in the hotel too. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We asked for the wrong later breakfast time and the staff proceeded to ask other guests if they could switch with us instead so we wouldn’t miss out on breakfast. Would recommend this hotel!

Great location -- Not closest to the train station, but at a major street and within walkable distance to major tourist attractions. Obviously a building repurposed into a hotel, room design is in "industrial style". Room size is on the small side though. We were there during the Noto earthquake. The hotel staff was very supportive, trying their best to restore hotel functions. They proactively provided updates about transportation status (trains and buses), they offered to extend my stay if needed, and they helped me to call my next hotel as my trip was affected. Thank you very much for your excellent service at a difficult time!

Kumu was our favourite stay during our entire trip. The staff were absolutely incredible to us, so kind and helpful. They ordered us taxis, helped with our luggage and did things you would expect from a hotel with high quality service. They even helped us book a reservation for a restaurant we wanted to go to. Not to mention the attention to detail and aesthetics of the space downstairs and in the rooms are so exceptional. For the price and quality of stay, you can’t beat it! Location was also solid! Very central location too, walkable to any part of the city you want!

The hotel is extremely stylish with a general ambiance that makes it feel like I’m staying at a spa. There are lovely tea rooms and artwork on the walls. Though small, the tatami room was extremely comfortable. I slept so soundly through the night. The staff were also very helpful and friendly and the location is close to things like Oyama Jinja, the Kenrokuen park, Omicho market, the old samurai quarter, and more, plus major bus stops.

We appreciated the art that we could observe inn each floor, and the classic, yet modern, japanese bedrooms and tea rooms. The staff went out of their way to help us with booking a restaurant, when we asked for a matsutake-dinner. They called a place and explained our dietary needs in japanese, so everything ended up perfectly. Really close the the castle grounds, garden, samurai district and shopping streets.
